Territory Manager - Surgical

Hologic is seeking a dynamic and driven Surgical Territory Manager (TM) to join our Canadian sales team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical device sales, with a focus on surgical products and the operating room.

The TM will successfully manage a territory promoting the company’s GYN surgical products to meet established sales objectives and goals in an ethical manner.

Knowledge

  • Understanding of medical device sales practices, including capital equipment and disposable product sales within surgical environments.
  • Knowledge of hysteroscopic and laparoscopic procedures and the clinical workflows associated with operating room environments.
  • Familiarity with the Canadian healthcare system, hospital procurement processes, and healthcare purchasing dynamics.
  • Understanding of territory planning, account development, and sales forecasting practices.
  • Knowledge of clinical and economic outcome data, reimbursement considerations, and managed care policies that support product adoption.
  • Awareness of competitive products, market dynamics, and customer needs within the surgical device market.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and tools used to track customer engagement, sales activities, and account management.
  • Working knowledge of common business software including Microsoft Office applications.

  • Strong consultative sales skills with the ability to build relationships with surgeons, physicians, nursing staff, and hospital administrators.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic territory sales plans that support revenue growth and market development.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from an accredited university or college in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated successful sales experience, preferably in medical devices or healthcare technology.
  • Experience selling capital equipment and/or medical instruments preferred.
  • Experience working in operating room environments and supporting surgeons during procedures is strongly preferred.
  • Experience developing or supporting professional education and training programs for surgeons and nursing staff is an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record and access to a reliable vehicle for work purposes.
  • Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory, including overnight travel approximately 2–3 times per week.
  • Ability to lift and transport equipment weighing up to approximately 25 pounds for demonstrations or clinical support.

Additional Info

The annualized base salary range for this role is $72,200 to $112,600 plus eligibility to earn variable commission plus benefits. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.

Responsable de territoire – Chirurgie dynamique et motivé(e) pour rejoindre son équipe des ventes au Canada. Le candidat idéal possède une solide expérience dans la vente de dispositifs médicaux, avec un accent particulier sur les produits chirurgicaux et l’environnement du bloc opératoire.

Le ou la titulaire du poste gérera efficacement un territoire en faisant la promotion des produits chirurgicaux gynécologiques de l’entreprise afin d’atteindre les objectifs de vente établis, tout en respectant les normes éthiques les plus élevées.

Connaissances

  • Compréhension des pratiques de vente de dispositifs médicaux, incluant la vente d’équipements capitaux et de produits consommables dans les environnements chirurgicaux.
  • Connaissance des procédures hystéroscopiques et laparoscopiques ainsi que des flux de travail cliniques associés au bloc opératoire.
  • Familiarité avec le système de santé canadien, les processus d’approvisionnement hospitaliers et les dynamiques d’achat dans le secteur de la santé.
  • Compréhension de la planification de territoire, du développement de comptes et des pratiques de prévision des ventes.
  • Connaissance des données cliniques et économiques sur les résultats, des considérations liées au remboursement et des politiques de gestion des soins favorisant l’adoption des produits.
  • Connaissance des produits concurrents, des dynamiques du marché et des besoins des clients dans le domaine des dispositifs chirurgicaux.
  • Familiarité avec les systèmes CRM et les outils permettant de suivre l’engagement client, les activités de vente et la gestion des comptes.
  • Connaissance pratique des logiciels d’affaires courants, notamment les applications Microsoft Office.

  • Excellentes compétences en vente consultative et capacité à établir des relations solides avec les chirurgiens, médecins, infirmières et administrateurs hospitaliers.
  • Capacité à élaborer et à exécuter des plans de vente stratégiques pour le territoire afin de soutenir la croissance des revenus et le développement du marché.
  • Excellentes aptitudes de communication et de présentation pour effectuer des démonstrations de produits, offrir de la formation clinique et présenter des propositions commerciales.
  • Capacité à fournir un soutien technique et procédural sur le terrain lors d’interventions chirurgicales.
  • Solides compétences en gestion de comptes et en développement de relations afin de maintenir et d’élargir les partenariats avec les clients.
  • Capacité à organiser et à animer des programmes de formation pour les clients, des séances éducatives et des événements régionaux.

Expérience

  • Baccalauréat (B.A./B.S.) d’une université ou d’un établissement accrédité en administration des affaires, sciences de la vie ou dans un domaine connexe.
  • Minimum de 5 ans d’expérience démontrée et réussie en vente, idéalement dans le domaine des dispositifs médicaux ou des technologies de la santé.
  • Expérience dans la vente d’équipements capitaux et/ou d’instruments médicaux considérée comme un atout.
  • Expérience de travail en environnement de bloc opératoire et soutien aux chirurgiens lors d’interventions fortement souhaitée.
  • Expérience dans le développement ou le soutien de programmes de formation professionnelle pour les chirurgiens et le personnel infirmier constitue un atout.
  • Permis de conduire valide, dossier de conduite satisfaisant et accès à un véhicule fiable pour les déplacements professionnels.
  • Capacité de voyager fréquemment dans le territoire assigné, incluant des nuitées environ 2 à 3 fois par semaine.
  • Capacité de soulever et de transporter de l’équipement d’environ 25 livres pour des démonstrations ou du soutien clinique.

La fourchette salariale annuelle de base pour ce poste se situe entre 72,200 dollars et 112,600 dollars , à laquelle s’ajoute l’admissibilité à une commission variable ainsi qu’à un programme d’avantages sociaux. La rémunération finale dépendra de plusieurs facteurs, notamment l’expérience pertinente, les compétences, les connaissances, la localisation géographique, la formation, les besoins de l’entreprise et la demande du marché.
