Senior Privacy Counsel Remote Canada

Become a Senior Privacy Counsel at Prospeo, leading privacy operations in a fully remote capacity. This role emphasizes your skills in data protection, compliance, and contract negotiation. As a Senior Privacy Counsel, you will be responsible for managing GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA, and PIPEDA compliance throughout all operations. You will draft and negotiate contracts while advising on legal risks for various business decisions. This role combines autonomy with the opportunity to develop within a data-driven environment, closely working with company co-founders. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily privacy operations and compliance initiatives
- Handle data subject access requests and deletions
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements
- Maintain and update company privacy policies
- Serve as the legal liaison for regulatory matters
- Law degree and bar admission in Canada
- 4+ years in commercial and privacy law
- CIPP/E certification required
- Strong contract negotiation experience
- Proficiency with AI legal tools
