Full Time Household Manager / Nanny

Full-time | ~42 hours/week | $25-30/hour, depending on experience We're a family of five living in Kerrisdale. Our son (4 years old, in school) is sweet, creative, and will do just about anything to make his sisters laugh. Our identical twin girls (almost 2 years old, in daycare) love dance parties and playing with their brother’s toy dinosaurs. We also share our home with a friendly dog and a cat. It's a busy, joyful season, and we're looking for someone to work alongside us and help our household run smoothly. We’re looking for part household manager, part nanny. • Four days/week: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• One day/week: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM

Role: Kids

• Pick Charlie up from school (~2:30 PM) and take him to any afternoon programing (swimming lessons, hockey, art class) or engage with him until the girls are ready to be picked up from daycare
• Be a warm, attentive presence for all three in the afternoons/evenings

Kitchen & meals

• Make a simple, balanced family dinner most days (nothing fancy – just comfortable and capable in the kitchen)
• Pack Charlie’s school lunch
• Keep the kitchen reset: dishes done, counters clear and clean

Keeping the home running

• Groceries and restocking household supplies before we run out
• Laundry for the family
• General tidying: vacuuming, picking up toys, clearing surfaces, keeping common areas and mudroom in order, managing the trash and recycling schedules
• Organizing pantry and storage as needed

Special projects (here and there)

• Packing for family trips
• Running errands (returns, pharmacy pickups, dry cleaning, etc.)
• Sorting through outgrown kids' clothes and toys for donation
• Other "while I'm at it" projects that keep the house from piling up

Practical must-haves:

• Valid driver's licence and comfortable driving our kids (we can provide the car)
• Comfortable around a friendly dog and cat
• Non-smoker
• Experience running a busy household and/or caring for young children
