Nanny Wanted - Busy East Van Family Seeking A Household Manager/Family Assistant. 5-6 Hrs/Week. $25-28/Hr. Occasional Child Pickup.

We’re a busy family with two working parents looking for someone to help keep our household running smoothly. This is not primarily a childcare position—it’s more about helping us stay on top of the day-to-day household tasks. Location: Fraser & 41st (Vancouver) Hours: 5–6 hours/week Pay: $25–28/hour, depending on experience Schedule: Mondays & Thursdays or Tuesdays & Thursdays Typical hours: Approximately 2:30/3:00 pm–5:30 pm Tasks may include:

• Laundry (washing, folding, putting away)
• Meal prep and getting dinner started/organized
• Light tidying and resetting the house
• Household organization projects
• Running the occasional errand
• Helping keep things organized from week to week

The childcare portion of the role would include picking up one child from daycare (walking distance from our home) by 5:00 pm. If you have a valid driver’s licence and your own vehicle, there may also be occasional pickup of our other child from summer camp. In the fall, that would likely transition to school pickup. Mileage for driving our child will be reimbursed. We’re also hoping to find someone who would be interested in the occasional evening babysitting for date nights, although this is optional and not a regular part of the role. One parent works from home or is home by around 5:30 pm, while the other works evenings on a rotating schedule. We also have a small, friendly 11-year-old dog. You won’t be responsible for caring for her, but wanted to mention her in case of allergies or if you’re not comfortable around dogs. We’re still figuring out exactly what this role will look like, so we’re looking for someone who enjoys creating order, is reliable, proactive, and happy to jump in wherever help is needed.
