Responsibilities
- Processing of import files from A to Z, including: quote, reservation, shipping, preparation of maritime freight documents, offer/issuance of insurance certificates, tracking, troubleshooting, and billing.
- Coordinate freight daily with vendors/agents.
- Participation in departmental and branch team meetings.

- Negotiation of rates/contracts.
- Issue the relevant freight documents.
- Constant monitoring and response to emails in the import and personal work mailboxes.
- Ensure that the appropriate margins are respected for shipments.
- Ensure suppliers meet service standards.
- Maintain and foster relationships with suppliers and customers.
- Respond in a timely manner to the requests of suppliers and customers.
- Provide cross-training on exports to cover the needs in case of need.

Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in maritime and air import
- Experience handling complex cargo (dangerous goods, ITAR, project cargoes)
- Dangerous goods training certification - IATA and IMDG preferred
- Experience with Descartes is preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to keep up with the rapidly changing international logistics environment
