Local Truck Driver - 2&10 Metal Recycling

Job Description

Do you enjoy driving short routes around southwestern Manitoba? Do you want work-life balance and to be home every night? 2 & 10 Metal Recycling is looking for an individual with solid driving and equipment operating experience to join their team.

What will a workday look like in this position? Some days you may be dropping off and picking up roll-off bins from commercial or rural customers. Other days you may be working on a farmyard clean up, operating heavy equipment, returning loads to the yard, hauling to steel mill 3 hours away or hauling back a load of stone. WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Drive a variety of trailers such as roll-off, super-b, flat deck, end dump and demo box in a safe, efficient, and productive manner according to safety standards.
• Operate various equipment such as excavators with shear/grapple/magnet attachments, loaders, material handlers, bobcats, and forklifts in compliance with the company’s operating procedures.
• Responsible for handling, moving, sorting, loading, processing, and disposing of scrap metal material.
• Perform labor tasks needed on the worksite including light mechanical work, lifting, sorting, and securing loads.
• Other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

• Valid Class 1 with truck and trailer driving experience required
• Previous equipment operating experience is required
• Ability to perform multiple tasks with minimal supervision
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50lbs
