Position Overview

As an Accessibility Front-End Developer, your primary focus will be on ensuring internal web properties follow accessibility best practices in the Enterprise Application Development department.

You will consult with Lead Developers and Solution Architects to support application development across products, platforms, and teams, leading design and front‑end processes, shaping technical design, quality management, review practices, and optimizing delivery and release pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Accessibility team to evaluate accessibility reports and fix high‑priority issues.
• Convert high‑fidelity UI/UX design wireframes and mockups into pixel‑perfect, interactive code using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Build and maintain complex web applications using modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Collaborate with backend developers to integrate RESTful APIs and ensure seamless data flow between server and UI.
• Create interactive prototypes and mockups to test design concepts and simulate user workflows.
• Conduct or assist with user research, usability testing, and persona development to ensure products solve real user needs.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and ensure compliance with accessibility standards like WCAG.
• Ensure applications work consistently across Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and devices.
• Act as a bridge between designers, backend engineers, and stakeholders to determine feasibility of designs.
• Build and maintain reusable code, UI components, and design systems for future scalability.
• Actively contribute to knowledge, practice, and expertise communities.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience as a UX Front‑End Developer.
• Degree (BA, BSc) or diploma in Software Development, Science or Engineering related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Extensive knowledge of accessibility standards such as WCAG 2.1 Level AA and CAN/ASC - EN 301 549.
• Extensive knowledge with Figma or other collaborative design tools for UI and UX.
• Extensive knowledge of SPA development, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, React.js, Bootstrap, Angular, Vue.js, and backend API integration (REST, GraphQL).
• Experience in coding standards, quality management, source code management, CI/CD pipelines, release management, software development lifecycle, and Agile best practices.
• Excellent communication skills, facilitating technical discussions.
• Problem solver who takes ownership of work, sees problems as opportunities, and shares new ideas.
• DYNAMIC individual who loves learning, connecting with others, and works comfortably with remote teams.

• Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written.
