Your Role

The Enterprise Applications DevOps and Platform Delivery Team is looking for a creative, highly skilled and talented DevOps Lead with deep subject‑matter expertise in both DevOps practice and technology to support our downtown Toronto or Montreal office locations. Reporting to the Sr Manager, DevOps and Delivery Platforms, you will contribute to the DevOps practice, work with application architects and developers, implement leading DevOps practices, empower developers, drive productivity and influence software engineering practices and modernization of our enterprise application strategy.

Responsibilities

• Implement, automate, support CI/CD pipelines for both cloud and on‑premise deployments of C# (.NET Framework and .NET Core) and Python applications.
• Manage and support cloud and on‑premises infrastructure.
• Develop, implement and support automation of infrastructure provisioning and deprovisioning.
• Provide support to development teams and stakeholders.
• Develop monitoring, alerting, and self‑healing functionality for CI/CD, cloud infrastructure and common application patterns.
• Standardize release management and support processes for all enterprise application initiatives, collaborating with development, data management and other teams.
• Enforce software engineering best practices in collaboration with architecture, platform, and information security groups.
• Reduce complexity, enhance communication and maintain high‑quality deployment artifacts across the software deployment pipeline.
• Expand automated deployment and testing tools to reduce errors, optimize delivery times and improve customer experience.
• Support the Cloud Evolution modernization project through planning and execution.
• Incorporate secure‑by‑design concepts, practices and tools into the software development lifecycle and deployment pipeline.
• Create reusable automation libraries and APIs for enterprise applications.
• Assist with architectural diagrams and design specifications to aid automation on supported platforms.
• Document application platform and product support processes.
• Participate in and streamline on‑call support for production solutions.

Minimum Requirements / What you bring to our team

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong programming/scripting skills (C#, Python, PowerShell, PowerCLI) and Git experience.
• Knowledge of at least one cloud platform (Azure, AWS, Google, etc.).
• In‑depth knowledge of Linux, UNIX, Windows systems and virtualization technologies (VMware).
• In‑depth knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.).
• Understanding of infrastructure configuration, networking, firewalls, load‑balancing, security, and performance monitoring.
• Experience provisioning and managing Azure environments using Azure Portal, CLI, ARM templates, Terraform, Helm, Ansible.
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Interest in agile methodologies (SCRUM certification is an asset).
