We are seeking a highly accomplished Intermediate Database Administrator for an enterprise-level contract opportunity based in Toronto. In this role, you will take on a pivotal technical capacity within core database operations, enterprise resource planning (ERP), and CRM administration streams, specializing in managing, optimizing, and supporting both on-premises and Azure cloud database environments.
As a principal database authority, you will bridge the gap between core infrastructure management, financial systems, and web application integrations. Operating fully onsite in Toronto, you will oversee database performance tuning, administer Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains), manage Salesforce CRM data structures, and support custom web applications built on the Microsoft development stack. This role demands a versatile administrator who can ensure continuous database reliability, streamline reporting workflows, and optimize data flows across multi-platform ecosystems. Multi-Platform Ecosystem: Gain hands-on exposure across Microsoft Dynamics GP, Salesforce CRM, SharePoint, and custom .NET web solutions.
Perform physical database design, installation, configuration, migration, and ongoing administration across on-premises SQL Server and cloud-based Azure database systems. Execute routine database maintenance, capacity planning, performance tuning, index optimization, and robust backup and recovery operations. Oversee the day-to-day operations and database support for Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains), collaborating closely with finance teams. Administer Salesforce CRM data structures, access permissions, integrations, and operational data flows. Build, maintain, and optimize business and operational reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Report Builder. Provide database and capacity support for application development initiatives leveraging .NET MVC, MS SQL, Team Foundation Server, and SharePoint. Support Microsoft 365 environments, including SharePoint, MS Teams, Power Platform, and specialized ticketing or SaaS applications. Support public-facing websites built on Microsoft content management solutions (such as Umbraco) and manage third-party API integrations with Microsoft web technologies. Qualifications
Core Technical Requirements
Database Administration Depth: Hands-on experience operating as a Database Administrator with deep technical expertise managing, maintaining, and tuning Microsoft SQL Server across both on-premises and Azure cloud environments. Microsoft Dynamics GP Expertise: Senior-level hands-on experience supporting and administering Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (GP) and core financial system concepts. Salesforce CRM Administration: Practical experience managing, configuring, and supporting Salesforce CRM database structures and data feeds. Reporting Tooling Proficiency: Direct experience developing and maintaining custom business reports using SQL Report Builder and SSRS. Microsoft Web Stack & SaaS Integration: Hands-on experience supporting application development environments (.NET MVC, MS SQL, TFS, SharePoint), public CMS platforms (Umbraco), and integrating third-party APIs with SaaS applications. Preferred Certifications & Assets
Microsoft Cloud & Database Certifications: Active designations such as Azure Database Administrator Associate, Microsoft SQL Server certifications, Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305), or Fabric Data Engineer Associate (DP-700 / DP-900). Salesforce Certification: Salesforce Certified Administrator credential. ERP & Financial Expertise: Advanced experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP or Dynamics 365 Finance platforms.
