Mine Planning Engineer with Leadership Role

Take charge as a Mine Planning Engineer, focusing on optimizing open pit operations and leading a team. This site-based role emphasizes data-driven planning and mentorship. As a Mine Planning Engineer, you will develop and maintain short to medium-term mine plans supporting safe production. Lead junior team members while enhancing planning accuracy and operational performance. This position requires collaboration with geology, geotechnical, and operations teams to ensure effective decision-making through data insights. Key Responsibilities:
• Develop 0–12 month mine plans aligned with operational goals
• Monitor performance against plans and adjust forecasts accordingly
• Optimize scheduling and minimize dilution in mine design
• Track and report key KPIs for production and ore delivery
• Mentor junior team members and promote safety initiatives Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent
• Registered Professional Engineer in Ontario
• 0–3 years in open pit mining experience
• Familiarity with Hexagon mining software is a plus
