Health Programs Officer at FNHA
First Nations Health Authority
Embrace a key role as a Health Programs Officer with the First Nations Health Authority. Work hybrid from Metro Vancouver to support crucial public health initiatives within First Nations communities. The Health Programs Officer will contribute significantly to the Communicable Disease, Population & Public Health Program. This position supports the CDPPH Manager and senior leaders by focusing on nurse education and certification, enhancing their capacity for tackling health issues in their communities. You will be a vital resource in shaping health outcomes. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide advisory support for Community Health programming
• Facilitate Immunization Competency Program for nurses
• Track and report on program initiatives effectively
• Collaborate within community health teams
• Address nursing certification inquiries from the community Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in health sciences or related fields
• Minimum three years of project management experience
• Proficient in Excel and reporting tools
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to think independently and solve problems Drive public health initiatives and empower First Nations communities with your expertise as a Health Programs Officer.
