Housekeeper/Cook Toronto, ON  

Position Overview:

Seeking an experienced Housekeeper/Cook for a private residence located in Toronto. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the overall cleanliness and organization of the residence, along with regular meal preparation. This position is full-time, live-out, Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.  

Candidate Profile:

You are an experienced and well-rounded housekeeper who enjoys keeping a clean and organized home. You have a strong understanding of household hygiene and cleaning best practices. You are a strong cook, are comfortable with meal prep and can confidently follow a recipe. Bonus if you can meal plan and manage kitchen inventories. You have a good eye for detail. You are a go getter and will do what is needed to get the job done.

Primary Responsibilities:  

• Daily housekeeping which includes dusting, vacuuming, kitchen and bathroom cleaning, washing floors  
  
• Preparing dinners for the family, prepping groceries, stocking the fridge with snacks and other items as needed  
  
• Maintain household inventory, prepare household inventory checklists
  
• Daily laundry, with some occasional ironing, steaming, and stain removal  
  
• Trash and recycling management  
  
• Running errands, grocery shopping, and other provisioning as needed
  
• Cover and uncover outdoor furniture  
  
• Special projects include, but not limited to, quarterly deep cleans, household cupboard reorganization, vacuuming vehicle interiors and garage
  
• Other duties as required from time to time  
  

Applicant Qualities:  

• Must have previous experience working in a private residence
  
• Excellent housekeeping, laundry and ironing skills, correct use of products and methods for fine finishes and surfaces. This client prefers all natural cleaning products
  
• Strong cooking and food preparation skills
  
• Must maintain privacy and confidentiality at all times, exercise diplomacy, discretion and respect of boundaries
  
• Valid Ontario driver's license  
  
• Access to a personal vehicle is an asset  
  
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
