What you will be doing:

• Prepare sushi, sashimi, and other raw bar items according to established recipes and presentation standards
• Ensure the highest standards of freshness, quality, and food safety when handling seafood and ingredients
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station and kitchen work areas
• Prepare ingredients including fish, rice, sauces, and garnishes for daily service
• Assist with inventory management and proper storage of ingredients
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
• Collaborate with chefs and kitchen colleagues to ensure efficient service and consistent quality
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout service
• Support menu development and daily specials when required
• Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented according to restaurant standards
• Other duties assigned

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

• Previous experience preparing sushi and raw bar items in a professional kitchen
• Knowledge of sushi preparation techniques and seafood handling
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and presentation
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Food Safe certification or equivalent required
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
