What you will be doing:
- Prepare sushi sashimi and other raw bar items according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Ensure the highest standards of freshness quality and food safety when handling seafood and ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station and kitchen work areas
- Prepare ingredients including fish rice sauces and garnishes for daily service
- Assist with inventory management and proper storage of ingredients
- Follow all health safety and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with chefs and kitchen colleagues to ensure efficient service and consistent quality
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout service
- Support menu development and daily specials when required
- Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented according to restaurant standards
- Other duties assigned
Qualifications :
Your experience and skills include:
- Previous experience preparing sushi and raw bar items in a professional kitchen
- Knowledge of sushi preparation techniques and seafood handling
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and presentation
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Food Safe certification or equivalent required
- Flexible schedule including evenings weekends and holidays
