Java/Azure Engineer for Legacy Transformation

Transform banking systems as a Java/Azure Engineer in Montreal. This contract role is centered on modernizing legacy applications into secure, scalable cloud solutions. As a Java-J2EE Azure Engineer, your primary focus will be on the modernization efforts for core financial systems. You will leverage your expertise in Java and Azure to improve application scalability and performance while creating robust web services. This role caters to engineers eager to work in regulated environments and provide impactful solutions. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and enhance Core Java/J2EE and Spring Boot applications
- Expose secure web services for risk management and settlements
- Deploy applications on Azure using App Services and Functions
- Analyze legacy systems to inform modernization strategies
- Implement CI/CD pipelines through Azure DevOps and GitHub
- In-depth knowledge of Core Java, J2EE, Spring / Spring Boot
- Experience with Microsoft Azure services and solutions
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and legacy systems
- Preferred background in financial or banking domains
- Knowledge of security compliance measures
