Scale Operator/Administration for Recycling Center

Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Scale Operator/Office Administrator to join our team at our recycling center. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of our center.
Job Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Professionally manage all incoming calls and customers
- Weigh incoming trucks and direct to appropriate location on site
- General Bookkeeping and secretarial duties
- Creating & reporting monthly statements
- Faxing, emailing and photocopying
- Ability to work with others
- Other office duties as assigned
Required Experience:
-Previous scale operation and daily administration experience is preferred but not required, training will be provided.
-Possess a valid drivers license
-Ability to work independently in a busy environment
-Office Admin and bookkeeping experience an asset but not required
-Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse work environment
-Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
-Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically and professionally at all times
-Ensure workplace safety by ensuring operators are following safety protocols
-Must have a clear working understanding of Microsoft Word & Excel, as well as email and computers

The ideal candidate will also:
- Have excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Work well under pressure
- Demonstrate excellent problem-solving and decision making skills
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail, good organization skills
- Work well independently, follow instructions, reliable
Additional Information:
Full-time permanent position.
