As Senior Construction Inspector, Water and Wastewater, you will support the successful construction, rehabilitation, and commissioning of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure in London ON and Sarnia, ON. Working in the field with contractors, clients, and project teams, you will apply your inspection and contract administration experience to help confirm that work is completed safely, accurately, and in accordance with contract documents, applicable standards, and community needs.

Your Impact

• 7+ Years of experience in the field of inspecting water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

• Support Contract Administrator on site. 

• Deliver field inspection services for watermains, sanitary and storm sewers, pumping stations, treatment facilities, and related municipal infrastructure.

• Document construction progress, quantities, deficiencies, testing, and site conditions through clear daily reports, photographs, measurements, and record information.

• Collaborate with contractors, municipalities, consultants, and WSP project teams to administer construction contracts, assess field issues, track changes, and keep work aligned with drawings, specifications, permits, schedules, and contractual requirements.

• Monitor materials, installation methods, quality controls, environmental requirements, and health and safety practices to support reliable, compliant infrastructure.

• Contribute practical field insight to contract administration, including progress payment support, change documentation, deficiency management, substantial performance, warranty reviews, and project closeout.

• Strengthen the quality communities depend on.

The Skills That Set You Apart

• A college diploma in civil, environmental, construction, or water resources engineering technology, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and field experience.

• Experience inspecting municipal water and wastewater construction across the Greater Toronto Area, including underground linear infrastructure, chambers, pumping stations, treatment facilities, or rehabilitation projects.

• Contract administration experience involving daily records, quantity verification, progress payment support, change documentation, requests for information, deficiency tracking, substantial performance, and closeout.

• Working knowledge of Ontario Provincial Standard Specifications and Drawings, contract documents, construction sequencing, materials testing, quantity tracking, and record drawing requirements.

• Knowledge of construction health and safety, traffic control, confined-space awareness, environmental protection, and field hazard identification, with applicable training or certifications considered an asset.

• A valid driver's licence and the ability to travel regularly to project sites throughout the Greater London/Sarnia Area, work outdoors in varied conditions, and support schedules that may include extended hours when required by construction activities.

Compensation

• AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $77,400 - $102,500

• MB & ON: $70,600 - $97,200

• NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $69,900 - $92,900
