- Integrate engineering with procurement, construction, and commissioning processes to ensure continuity throughout the project lifecycle, including specification and bid evaluations, constructability reviews, commissioning planning and completion walkdowns to ensure technical oversight supportive of safe and effective results
- Lead and support the identification, assessment, and mitigation of project risks, ensuring alignment with overall risk management processes
- Lead and support design reviews, engineering readiness reviews, and change management to maintain alignment with project objectives and design intent
- Oversee studies and site investigations, including instrumentation and monitoring programs, to validate design assumptions and inform decision‑making

- Collaborate with the Technology team to ensure design compliance and manage deviations from the basis of design
- Identify and drive continuous improvement in engineering delivery and coordination, and support broader project and organizational priorities as required
Who You Are
We are seeking a collaborative and technically strong professional with proven experience in engineering and project delivery, particularly within subsurface and geotechnical environments.
You apply sound engineering judgment to translate complex technical challenges into practical solutions and operate effectively in multidisciplinary team environments. You align stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and delivery.
Success in this role requires strong problem‑solving capability, organizational skills, risk awareness, and a commitment to practical collaboration and continuous improvement across all phases of project execution.

- 10-15+ years of experience in major capital projects, with strong exposure to subsurface and underground engineering.
- Large‑scale infrastructure or energy project exposure is an asset.
- Strong technical foundation in rock and soil mechanics, ground behavior, geotechnical risk assessment, and site investigations (drilling, sampling, geophysics, and data interpretation)
- Experience in underground structures (e.g., caverns, shafts, tunnels), ground support systems (e.g., rock bolts, shotcrete), and water‑retaining structures (e.g., reservoirs or dams) is an asset
- Familiarity with geotechnical instrumentation, monitoring systems, and interpretation of field performance data
- Experience integrating engineering with procurement, construction and commissioning across the project lifecycle; EPC/EPCM experience is an asset
- Demonstrated leadership, decision‑making, and ability to manage technical complexity, competing priorities, and cross‑functional coordination to achieve project objectives
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders including leadership, clients, consultants, contractors, vendors and regulatory bodies
