Requirements:
* 10–15+ years in Infrastructure Architecture with 5+ years leading DC migrations.
Core Networking & Infrastructure:
> Hardware Platforms:
* Dell EMC Servers: Experience with modern Dell hardware for virtualization and storage.
* Cisco Networking: Proficiency with Cisco Catalyst, Nexus (9K, 3K, 6K), and ASR routers/switches for core, edge, and fabric connectivity.
* Palo Alto Firewalls: Design and management of HA firewall clusters for secure segmentation.
* Meraki MX & Cisco ASA: For VPN, remote access, and site-to-site connectivity.
* VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter: Deep expertise in VMware stack for host consolidation, VM management, and live migration (vMotion).
* VxRail: Familiarity with hyperconverged infrastructure for scalable compute and storage.
> Storage & Backup
* Experience in migrating workloads across NFS-mounted datastores between sites, ensuring permissions, shares, and namespace consistency during cutovers.
* Proficient with NAS backup jobs, proxy configuration, and restoring to alternate datastores during post-migration validation.
* Dell EMC Isilon, Oracle ZS3: NAS/SAN configuration, NFS/CIFS, backup media agents (DataDomain, Avamar).
* Backup Networking: Understanding of backup flows, storage migration, and disaster recovery.
Key Responsibilities
• Own the high‑level and low‑level design for data center exit, consolidation, or modernization.
• Develop target state architectures and transition states (roadmaps, waves, and cutover strategies).
• Lead discovery and dependency mapping for applications, data, and infrastructure services.
• Define migration methodologies (live, replication‑assisted, bulk cold moves) aligned to SLAs.
• Architect network segmentation and IP addressing strategies for non‑overlapping multi‑site deployments.
• Specify storage and data movement approaches for block, file, and object workloads.
• Establish resiliency, DR, and backup patterns; validate RPO/RTO and failover procedures.
• Create runbooks for pilot, bulk, and critical cutovers with rollback criteria and success metrics.
• Govern platform standards (compute, virtualization, storage, network, security) and configuration baselines.
• Lead technical risk management, change control, and issue triage during migration waves.
• Coordinate with security, compliance, and audit stakeholders to meet regulatory requirements.
• Mentor engineering teams; ensure knowledge transfer and operational readiness in the target environment.
• Report program status, milestones, risks, and financials to leadership and stakeholders.
