Data Analyst - Product Systems & Data Integration (Banking/Insurance)

Primary Skills

• Strong understanding of data concepts (entities, relationships, keys, domains), data modeling patterns (relational, dimensional, lakehouse), and data lifecycle across environments.
  

• Practical experience interpreting and specifying data flows, data contracts, and interface requirements between systems and platforms.
  

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business and technology teams to gather and translate business needs into clear technical and data requirements.
  

• Document requirements, including data definitions, process flows, use cases, and functional specifications to support solution design.
  

• Conduct data and process analysis to identify gaps, data-quality issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  

• Support delivery and implementation planning by performing impact analysis and requirement clarity assessments.
  

Required & Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in requirements lifecycle management, including elicitation, documentation, validation, and traceability.
  

• Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to translate complex business needs into technical specifications.
  

• Experience facilitating stakeholder sessions and collaborating with large business and tech teams.
  

• Effective communication skills—both verbal and written—to work cross-functionally and present to diverse audiences.
  

• Competence in defining and validating data requirements, transformation rules, and data quality checks.
  

• Understanding of data governance, metadata management, and data lineage principles.
  

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in insurance or financial services, especially with back-office or product systems.
