Senior Finance Officer

The Senior Finance Officer will work under the direction and supervision of the Finance Manager within the Finance and Operations Department, and is responsible for providing financial coordination and assisting in the management of the financial function for Battle River Treaty 6 Health Centre Inc.  
Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to:  
Prepare and process biweekly payroll with data entry in Sage300 in coordination with the Human Resource Department
Ensure all government related filings are prepared and submitted with government timelines
Updating and maintaining employee payroll profiles
Maintain files for funding agreements/amendments while ensuring the funding is recorded and reconciled
Keep records of all capital assets purchased, sold and disposed
Keep records and schedules of prepaid purchases throughout the fiscal year
Assist in annual year end and audit preparation, collaborating with auditors as necessary
Support the Finance Manager and Leadership with projects and tasks when required and other duties as assigned
Support the monthly finance statement cycle including reconciliations and budget preparations
Prepare and input journal entries
Qualifications:
Post-Secondary Diploma in accounting or bookkeeping  
Enrolled in a post-secondary diploma program in accounting or bookkeeping combined with several years of experience as a finance or accounting clerk
Enrolled in a professional accounting program (i.e. Canadian Payroll Association, AFOA, etc.) is an asset
Previous work experience with Sage300 (General Ledger, Payroll, Accounts Payables & Receivables, Purchase Orders)
