Key Responsibilities

Lead a unionized workforce in accordance with the collective agreement and company policies
Assist in all aspects of maintenance and shop facility maintenance
Train new employees in safe and productive operating procedures
Perform administrative work, as required
Display professional leadership with fellow employees in support of Company goals and values
Stay aware of key cost areas such as warranties and supplies
Schedule sequence of maintenance services and quarterly inspections on buses to optimize balances between operating requirements, downtime of revenue equipment and overall shop productivity
Record and report accident damage to equipment and any/all personal injuries
Check that work orders are accurate and appropriate for work performed; clarify work with dispatch as required
Continuously monitor effectiveness of bus cleaning & ensure standards are followed and met

What You Bring

Journeyperson Ticket (Heavy Duty or Automotive)
SGI inspection License - considered an asset
Previous leadership or supervisory experience
Experience handling employee performance concerns, coaching, and conflict resolution
Demonstrated success leading unionized employees considered an asset
Experience with maintenance management software
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
