Engineer For Renewable Energy Initiatives Winnipeg

Contribute to sustainability at the Toronto Transit Commission as an Engineer in Renewable Energy Programs. Drive the TTC’s net zero transition by leading critical engineering projects. This role involves overseeing renewable energy systems, requiring expertise in electrical engineering and project management. You will evaluate technical reports, contribute to safety plans, and collaborate with diverse teams. Your insights will help mitigate risks and ensure TTC adheres to industry standards while making significant environmental impacts.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze technical documentation for renewable systems
- Investigate operational failures with stakeholders
- Develop and recommend modifications to operating procedures
- Provide input for compliance monitoring and safety plans
- Coordinate engineering projects with internal and external teams
Requirements
- University degree in electrical engineering or related field
- Registered Qualified Engineer in Ontario
- Understanding of critical electrical distribution practices
- Experience in project management principles
- Proficiency in CAD systems and Python is an asset
