Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join a collaborative and fast-paced team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, coordinating bid submissions, reviewing drawings and specifications, and working closely with subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams to support successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and bid packages
- Review drawings, specifications, RFQs, and RFIs
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Identify project risks, cost-saving opportunities, and scope gaps
- Support project planning, budgeting, and scheduling activities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors
- Assist with business development and new bidding opportunities
- Promote a strong culture of safety, professionalism, and teamwork
Qualifications
- Experience in construction estimating and bid preparation
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Experience with estimating software and construction technology tools
- Knowledge of construction practices, regulations, and safety standards
- Construction Management, Engineering, or a related education is considered an asset
