Power Systems Engineer at Stantec

Join Stantec as a Power Systems Engineer specializing in transmission planning and energy solutions. Leverage your expertise in PSS/E and Python for innovative power modeling and studies. In this role, you will execute detailed power system modeling using PSS/E, PSLF, and ASPEN. As a professional engineer, you'll conduct compliance studies, prepare automation scripts, and develop comprehensive reports. You'll also engage directly with clients to kick off projects, review progress, and present findings. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform power flow and dynamic analysis studies
• Execute NERC TPL-001 compliance assessments
• Prepare automation scripts for simulations and data analysis
• Compile and analyze results for study reports
• Participate in client meetings for project updates Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering required
• Proficiency in PSS/E and Python programming
• Understanding of power system theory and electronics
• Experience in transmission planning studies preferred
