Shipper/Receiver - Custom Transport Trailer Manufacturing

If so, we may have a spot for you at Titan Trailers. We are looking for a Shipper/Receiver.

Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Shipper/Receiver is responsible for Shipping and Receiving of goods at our Titan Oxford Site in Tillsonburg.

Shipping/Receiving Job Duties:

• All Shipping/Receiving duties as required


• Receive all stock parts and raw materials.


• Apply knowledge and experience to ensure the proper number of items have been confirmed and are received in good condition prior to order sign off.


• Enter material movement data into ERP system (Global Shop) and maintain accurate and up to date records at all times


• Ensure appropriate departments are notified of receipt of the product.


• As determined by the Logistics Manager, deliver product to the appropriate department or ensure it is placed into storage.


• Ensure all material movements are recorded to ensure inventory count and location is always accurate.


• May be required to shunt trailers from department to department as requested by the department


• Bring in and remove raw materials as requested by the Supervisors or Team Leads


• Transport parts, raw materials and extrusions to and from storage facilities and ensure that the storage facilities are kept organized, knowing where parts and raw materials are kept.


• Move parts & materials between plants as required

Requirements

• Working experience in Shipping and Receiving role


• Experience with Global Shop ERP system an asset


• Knowledge of inventory control procedures.


• Able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.


• Basic mathematical skills.


• Valid AZ Drivers license and good driving record an asset


• Able to weigh and measure items.


• Working knowledge of safe packing methods.


• Demonstrated ability to operate material handling equipment including forklift truck.


• Become familiar with weights and ratings of material handling equipment


• Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.


• Computer literacy including working skills of Excel and e-mail.


• Attention to detail in all areas of work - good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.


• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
  

Working Conditions

• Fast paced environment


• Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.


• Overtime as required.


• Lifting or moving up to 50 lbs may be required.


• Work is performed in a combination of environments.


• Use of a Forklift and/or overhead crane may be required


• This position may be exposed to elements such as noise, dust, odours, fumes, oils and the weather.


• Safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc

Regular hours are 6:00 am to 3:00 pm Monday to Thursday and 6:00 am to 12:00 noon on Friday.

The starting wage for this position is dependent on experience and training. Upon successful completion of a 6-month probationary period the candidate will be eligible to take part in our benefits package, including health, dental, life insurance, and clothing / safety boot allowance.
