Job Overview

As a Specialist – Quotations, you will develop proposals, bids, quotations, and related documents that describe our products and services in response to client requests. You will work closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Product teams to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all communications.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify potential projects for bid and compile a list of material requirements, including supplies, lighting, switchgear, and other distribution apparatuses.
• Communicate with suppliers to discuss material specifications, clarify and confirm bills of materials, negotiate pricing, and identify alternatives for special or custom orders.
• Supervise negotiations with both suppliers and customers.
• Provide materials and data, including switchgear, apparatus, lighting, and take‑offs, for preparing customer quotations.
• Coordinate receipt of required information for final quotation submittal.
• Resolve project issues with customers during the bidding process.
• Follow up on open and outstanding quotations with salespersons and customers to determine status.
• Communicate with account representatives, account executives, and inside sales reps to ensure quotes and resulting orders are complete.
• Record projects being bid by customers.
• Maintain catalogs and price lists.
• Identify sales opportunities within the current customer base.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 2 to 5 years of related experience.
• 2+ years of experience interacting with customers and/or supplier representatives to obtain pricing information and cooperation.
• Ability to read and interpret specifications and blueprints.
• Strong math and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and organization skills.
• Broad knowledge of product lines and pricing strategies preferred.
• Previous experience putting together bid packages preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly Rate: $38.86 – $43.27 per hour.
• Possibility of bonus or sales incentive plan.
• Commission structure for qualifying sales roles.
