This is a front-line position responsible for providing outstanding food and beverage service to our high-end clientele in Club Bell at Canadian Tire Centre. Reporting directly to the Club Bell Manager the Server works with the team to create memorable experiences for our guests.

Job Responsibilities

OPERATIONS

Manage assigned section to ensure individual and team performance meets objectives and clientexpectations. This could include in-seat service with Luxe Seats, Loges or Suites within the club.

Perform opening and closing duties as directed by the manager or event day lead.

Able to work under pressure with a calm demeanor in an often-loud kitchen and arena environment

Efficiently take beverage orders from guests and ensure deliveries are made promptly

Keep Suites organized and clean if assigned to these locations

Become educated with all menu items and able to assist guests with questions pertaining to food allergies and sensitivities

Maintain effective client and customer rapport for mutually beneficial business relationships.

Demonstrate excellent and professional customer service using Aramark standard service model.

Ensure the completion and maintenance of all inventories and sales consolidation.

Adopt and adhere to all Aramark processes and procedures.

Maintain a safe and healthy environment for customers. Comply with all applicable policies and regulations.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Assist within the Premium Department for banquets and special catered functions when required

FOOD & WORKPLACE SAFETY

· Safety First every day. To have a workplace operation with zero incidents or injuries is a primary focus and

goal by management and the corporation.

· Maintain a sanitary department following health & safety codes and regulations.

· Ensure that food items are stored in a safe, organized, and hazard-free environment.

· Maintain a safe and hazard-free working environment and work with Manager and Leads to address any safety concerns

· Ensure all food/safety temperature logs are completed with appropriate corrective action, as necessary

Qualifications

Ideal candidate has a flexible schedule to work daytime, evenings, weekends, some mornings, and holidays for all Ottawa Senators & Ottawa Charge Hockey games and other events as required

· 2-3 years previous server experience in a fast-paced, high-energy, VIP elevated environment is required

· Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions in English. Bilingualism in French is an asset.

· Must possess excellent Guest Service Skills interacting with VIP Clientele

· High attention to detail

· Maintain emotional control under stress

· Must possess strong organizational and communication skills

· Enjoys working in a lively, fast-paced environment

· Well-groomed and professional attire (follow Aramark standards for uniform and grooming)

· Be available to assist with occasional morning, night, and weekend events for additional catering events as they arise.

· Knowledge of Food and Beverage preparation and presentation for VIP setups is an asset

· Must hold Smart Serve Certification

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

The pay range for this position is $17.60 - $17.60.
