Control System Programmer

Job Responsibility:
Xcel Automation is an established integrator of Industrial Automation and SCADA solutions. We apply this expertise within many types of industries across Western Canada. We are currently seeking a Control System Programmer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be a responsible, motivated individual excited to join our ever-growing, enthusiastic automation team. Our team provides a full spectrum of automation knowledge within our group.
Qualifications include, but not limited to:
Experience in development, implementation, and maintenance of DeltaV control systems.
Experience with Allen Bradley PLC Programming (Studio5000, Logix5000, RSLogix500, and RSLogix5) and Yokogawa Centum VP DCS control systems strongly considered an asset.
Experience with other automation systems including Cygnet SCADA, Schneider/Modicon, VTScada, GeoScada, Rockwell Automation software (FactoryTalk View SE, ME, and legacy), Honeywell Experion/TDC3000, and Wonderware is an asset.
Knowledgeable with OT/Automation industrial data communications and networking architecture.
Experience in development of control strategies, control narratives, and creation of design specifications.
Experience in medium to large scale oil & gas processing facilities also considered an asset.
Strong communication and organization skills.
This is a full-time position with preferred candidates being local to Xcel's office in Calgary. This position could include remote work. We offer very competitive employee or contractor wages.
