Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior System Administrator to support enterprise infrastructure operations within a government environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, monitoring, securing, and optimizing critical systems across Windows, Azure, scheduling, database, and middleware platforms while supporting operational stability and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
· Administer and support enterprise Windows Server environments.
Manage virtualization platforms and remote system administration activities.
Configure, monitor, and maintain Microsoft Azure services including compute, storage, networking, security, and monitoring.
Utilize AI-enabled tools to support system monitoring, diagnostics, automation, and incident analysis.
Execute system patching, backup management, recovery testing, and disaster recovery activities.
Administer IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS) including job setup, scheduling, and operational support.
Support SQL Server and MySQL database administration activities.
Maintain and troubleshoot CMOD, VPSX, WBI, and MQ (Message Queue) environments.
Monitor infrastructure health using enterprise monitoring and alerting platforms such as PagerDuty, Nagios, or equivalent solutions.
Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to improve system reliability.
Collaborate with technical teams to support infrastructure upgrades, enhancements, and operational initiatives.
Document operational procedures, configurations, and support activities.
