About the Opportunity

• Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
• Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Analyze financial information and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audits and financial reporting.
• Monitor cash balances and assist with cash flow forecasting.
• Process banking transactions and maintain banking relationships.
• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve outstanding items.
• Support treasury activities and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Prepare, file, and reconcile applicable sales, payroll, and other tax remittances.
• Ensure compliance with federal, provincial/state, and local regulatory requirements.
• Assist with internal and external audits as required.

Accounts & Financial Operations

• Process recurring payments and maintain accurate supporting documentation.
• Reconcile vendor and customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Support day-to-day accounting operations across multiple functional areas.
• Maintain financial records within the organization's accounting system.
• Participate in system implementations, upgrades, and process improvement initiatives.
• Recommend efficiencies to enhance financial reporting and internal controls.

About You

• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 2–3 years of progressive accounting experience.
• CPA designation or enrollment in a professional accounting program is considered an asset.
• Experience with bank reconciliations and tax compliance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience working with accounting or ERP systems is an asset.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Salary Range
$60,000 - $70,000 / year
