Role Summary – Data Fabric Consultant / Subject Matter Expert
BrickRed Systems is seeking a highly experiencedData Fabric Consultant / SME to lead enterprise data modernization initiatives. This role will serve as a strategic advisor to clients, defining and implementing data fabric architectures that unify distributed data environments and enable real-time, intelligent decision-making. You will work closely with business stakeholders, data teams, and executive leadership to drive end-to-end data strategy, architecture, and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients on data fabric strategy, architecture, and implementation.
- Design and lead enterprise-scale data fabric solutions across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
- Define data integration, governance, and metadata management frameworks.
- Enable data virtualization and seamless data access across disparate systems.
- Drive adoption of real-time data processing and event-driven architectures.
- Collaborate with business leaders to align data strategy with business outcomes.
- Lead technical workshops, architecture reviews, and stakeholder presentations.
- Mentor internal teams and guide best practices in modern data engineering and architecture.
- Evaluate and recommend tools and platforms across Azure, AWS, and GCP ecosystems.
Required Technical Skills
- 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or consulting roles.
- Deep expertise in data fabric concepts, data mesh (nice-to-have), and modern data platforms.
- Strong experience with Azure (Synapse, Data Factory, Purview), AWS (Glue, Lake Formation), or GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow).
- Proficiency in data integration, ETL/ELT, and orchestration tools.
- Experience with streaming technologies (Kafka, Spark Streaming, Flink).
- Knowledge of data governance, lineage, cataloging, and compliance frameworks.
- Solid programming skills in Python and SQL.
- Familiarity with API-led integration, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
