Solution Architect – Interac

The Solution Architect role will report to the Enterprise Architect, Principal. You will be responsible for driving alignment of technology capabilities to enterprise business, product, and technology strategy over time.

What You Will Do

• Involve in Product / Platform strategy development by interlocking with one or more Product / Platform Leaders, providing architectural principles and guardrails for development and supporting backlog development/curation, release planning, and road mapping.
• Involve in Technology Strategy development by participating in the Architecture Strategy Centre of Excellence (CoE) with stewardship over a comprehensive target state architecture for T&O; technology capabilities and a cross‑platform roadmap for change to realize that target state over time.
• Initiate squad spike handling by identifying and evaluating alternative solutions, supporting prototyping and POCing, and guiding full productionization / operationalization of the selected solutions with platform teams.
• Advance Platform development and alignment to product requirements by participating in a Product and Platform Community of Practice (CoP) or Guild with Product Architecture and other Product / Platform‑Deployed EAs to continuously synchronize Product and Platform release planning, and support Product Architecture on business casing for Enabling Platform services.
• Craft, document, and socialize Product / Platform Architectures according to Interac’s standards.
• Govern Product / Platform architectural change by performing peer reviews, and contributing to architecture review boards, steering committees, and/or other working groups that are deployed to supplement or replace such bodies.

• Continuous development of deep technical knowledge for the Product(s) / Platform(s) to which you are deployed.
• T‑Shaped Architecture Practice skills, including Solution, Application, Infrastructure, Security, and Data Architecture, with a depth of affinity in at least one of those specialties.
• A balance of skill with intentional architecture (strategy, advanced planning, road‑mapping, standards and patterns development) with emergent architecture (Product / Platform interlock, squad involvement, backlog development / curation, release planning, “self‑documenting systems”).
• Collaboration with, and technical thought leadership for, internal partners such as Product Architects, Product / Platform Leaders, Owners, and others.
