Consultant, Business System Analysis

What you’ll be doing

As a Business Systems Consultant (BSC) in CIBC’s Finance, you’ll lead complex projects to design strategic solutions aligned with CIBC’s enterprise architecture roadmap. You’ll support end‑to‑end project implementation, act as a subject‑matter expert in both business and technology, and ideate with a diverse team to deliver best‑in‑class client experiences.

How you’ll succeed

• Understand and document requirements – work closely with business partners to gather complex business requirements and facilitate solution‑design discussions to ensure project needs are met.
• Create strong relationships and lead discussions to ask the right questions and ensure solutions meet requirements.
• Solution design – assemble client‑focused solutions that meet business requirements and prepare & validate solution‑design documents covering scope clarification, solution requirements, and quality assurance.
• Leading and mentoring – support end‑to‑end project implementation as a subject‑matter expert, provide guidance to a diverse team of technology and project professionals, maintain a collaborative work environment, and help resolve organizational, operational, and process problems.

Who you are

You have a degree or diploma in Computer Science, Business, or a related field, and at least 3 years of experience in a BSC role leading projects and designing solutions. It’s an asset to have experience with Agile methodologies and application or architecture development.
