Senior Solutions Designer in Toronto (Winnipeg)

Become a vital part of the Technology Solutions team as a Senior Solutions Designer in Toronto, Ontario. Focus on application design and modernization in Wealth and Investment Management applications.
This senior-level role requires ownership across the design, development, and operational stability of applications. You will leverage your mainframe expertise in COBOL, JCL, and DB2 to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions. A strong emphasis on collaboration, support, and architecture alignment will be essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Design comprehensive solutions for applications and data layers
- Produce detailed design artifacts and technical specifications
- Validate solution designs for scalability and feasibility
- Develop and enhance mainframe applications and solutions
- Mentor junior developers through best practices
Requirements
- 8+ years in mainframe application development and support
- Expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and IMS technologies
- Solid understanding of SDLC and Agile processes
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Experience with online and batch processing applications
