Health & Safety Manager at Solus Canada

Lead the Health & Safety initiatives at Solus Canada, a subsidiary of Aviva Canada, in a hybrid work model. Champion safety compliance and promote a proactive safety culture across multiple auto body locations in Ontario and Quebec. This critical Health & Safety Manager role involves developing and implementing a new Health & Safety Management System tailored for the auto collision repair industry. You will collaborate with stakeholders, including senior leadership and HR, to ensure compliance with provincial regulations and internal standards. Your leadership will shape safety communication and training to enhance awareness and safe practices across various facilities. Key Responsibilities:
- Design a new Health & Safety Management System for Solus Canada
- Investigate and assess safety incidents and risks
- Develop and maintain safety training programs
- Communicate safety expectations effectively
- Conduct audits and risk assessments at multiple locations
- Bachelor’s degree and Occupational H&S Certificate
- Minimum 5 years in a H&S management role
- Bilingual in English/French preferred
- Experience in the automotive repair sector
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
