Medical Records Director for Skilled Nursing

Become the Medical Records Director at our skilled nursing facility, focusing on the security and accuracy of resident health records. In this vital role, you will oversee medical record management, ensuring all procedures align with facility regulations. Your position will support clinical and administrative teams by ensuring timely documentation and efficient record-keeping. Strong leadership in health information management will be essential for maintaining confidentiality and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage resident medical records according to federal regulations
- Ensure accurate documentation during admissions and transfers
- Oversee EHR systems and resolve documentation issues
- Coordinate training for medical records staff
- Support regulatory inquiries related to documentation
- Educational background in Health Information Management preferred
- Certification as RHIT or similar credential beneficial
- Minimum of 2 years experience in health information management
- Proficient with EHR systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
