Nurse Lead for Occupational Health Services

CanAtom is seeking an enthusiastic Occupational Health Nurse Lead, pivotal in providing medical services for the nuclear refurbishment project in Pickering. Oversee health compliance while boosting workforce wellness initiatives in this dynamic role. As the Nurse Lead, you’ll manage daily nursing operations and ensure adherence to health standards while fostering a culture of safety. Engage in first aid, recovery support, and the development of wellness programs that significantly impact workforce health. Your leadership will ensure the delivery of high-quality health services on-site. Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and best practices
- Provide first aid services and conduct health assessments
- Record maintenance for treatments and logs
- Collaborate on early return-to-work plans
- Enhance wellness through health education programs
- Minimum qualification as a Registered Practical Nurse in Ontario
- Knowledge of WSIB processes valuable
- First Aid and CPR certification essential
- Acute care nursing experience preferred
- Strong multitasking and interpersonal skills
