About the Role
Drive accuracy in financial reporting as a Senior Financial Analyst at Northland Power in Toronto. Contribute to consolidated statements and complex technical matters while mentoring the team. This role supports Northland Power’s financial integrity by preparing quarterly and annual statements based on IFRS, collaborating with accounting professionals to ensure timely deliverables, including MD&A and management reports, and engaging in technical accounting matters. You will also develop memoranda and coordinate with auditors for thorough reviews.
Responsibilities
- Prepare quarterly and annual IFRS‑compliant consolidated financial statements
- Assist in accurate MD&A preparation every quarter
- Develop management reports outlining financial variations
- Research and draft technical accounting memoranda
- Coordinate data globally for financial reporting needs
Qualifications
- CPA designation with public accounting experience
- 3+ years in auditing or accounting advisory
- Deep IFRS knowledge; US GAAP is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Oracle Consolidation tool experience preferred
