Assistant Manager, Store Allocations

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

The Assistant Manager, Store Allocation supports in-season allocation and trading strategies by executing initial allocations and weekly replenishments. This role ensures the right products are delivered to the right stores, at the right time, to drive sales, reduce excess inventory, and support overall business objectives across Retail stores.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end retail inventory flow and develop store-specific distribution strategies to optimize sales performance and SKU productivity at the individual store level.
• Execute weekly replenishment allocations leveraging sales trends, forecasts, promotional events, and overarching business goals to maintain ideal stock levels.
• Develop and analyze item-level replenishment strategies weekly to maintain optimal stock to-sales ratios, accounting for localized sales trends, promotions, events, and size curves.
• Partner cross-functionally with Buying teams to align on product allocation priorities and ensure the right inventory reached the right location at the right time
• Communicate with Buying & Planning partners around allocation strategies and results inclusive of risk and opportunity
• Collaborate with Buyers and Planners to develop inventory transfer plans and markdown strategies, including exit plans for aged SKUs to support seasonal transitions and minimize markdown exposure

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

• Strong understanding of MS Office Suite. Strong Excel skills required.
• Strong planning and organizational skills to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills to effectively interpret sales data and a thorough understanding of retail math.
• Experience extracting data from a Business Intelligence Tool (PowerBI) to manipulate large amounts of data and create reporting tools from data.
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to manage a wide variety of relationships.
• Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from key stakeholders.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of experience in planning, buying, allocations or other relevant merchandising experience.
• At adidas we offer a Hybrid work policy which requires attendance in the office Monday through Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Friday each week. For work requiring a high degree of collaboration or an in-person presentation, in-office attendance on occasion is required even on Friday .

The anticipated low and high end of the base pay range for this position is $65,000 - $75,000. Actual salary will be based on various factors, such as a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills & competencies, and proficiency for the role. Knowledge of English is required for this role, as the position involves regular interaction with English-speaking external stakeholders, as well as colleagues across Canadian and global teams outside Quebec whose primary working language is English.
