Overview
The Deputy Governance Officer is responsible for assisting the ASUS Governance Officer in the maintenance, growth, and expansion of the Governance Office. The Deputy Governance Officer will play a large role in assisting the Governance Officer with the preparations and key logistical tasks to help ASUS Assembly function effectively. They will also play a large role in ensuring that Assembly is as safe, accountable, and accessible to students-at-large as possible as well as creating and leading innovations to improve ASUS Assembly.
The duties of the Deputy Governance Officer will ensure that the Governance Officer has the sufficient time and resources to be an effective liaison with the ASUS Sibling Societies, namely, PHEKSA, COMPSA, and CESA, in addition to carrying out the rest of their duties.

Term : May 1st, 2025 – April 30th, 2026
Hours : 5-6 hours per week
Honorarium : Awarded based on the Honorarium Grid in the Human Resources Policy ( Click here )

Duties and Responsibilities
- Holding five (5) office hours at ASUS Office with at least (2) office hours held during the office hours of the Governance Officer;
- Leading any additions to the Assembly Agenda Package to improve discussion and debate, potentially including summaries of motions and materials to spur discussion
- Leading the production of materials for public consumption summarizing Assembly
- Leading outreach to outside groups on campus, marginalized communities, international students, and other constituencies to ensure their voices are heard and amplified at ASUS Assembly
- Working on any special projects or initiatives deemed valuable by the Governance Officer
- Assisting or replacing the Governance Officer in collecting materials for the Assembly Agenda
