Lead communication strategies for the City of Winnipeg as the Chief Communications & Engagement Officer. Oversee various departments while engaging with the public directly in this high-impact position. The City of Winnipeg is seeking an experienced Chief Communications & Engagement Officer to guide operations across Corporate Communication, the 311 Contact Centre, Marketing, and Public Engagement. This leadership role requires a strong background in public sector management and crisis communications to effectively navigate challenges and facilitate community dialogue. Key Responsibilities:
• Lead Corporate Communication and marketing initiatives
• Manage the 311 Contact Centre operations
• Oversee public engagement strategies for community outreach
• Develop crisis communication plans and responses
• Collaborate with diverse departments to align messaging Requirements:
• Proven experience in public sector leadership
• Strong skills in crisis communication management
• Background in marketing and public engagement strategies
• Ability to oversee multiple departments effectively
