Position Summary

The current role is a contract position ranging from 28 - 32 hours per week to start (with availability on each weekday), with the opportunity to grow as the business expands. The hourly rate will begin at $25/hour.

Laura is a visionary with plenty of ideas and connections, juggling a lot in both work (professional/keynote speaking, a potential TV series/film project based on her psychological thrillers, a globally charting podcast, etc.) and life (family, charity events/philanthropic causes). She needs a structured personality to help keep things organized and on track. This person would develop a strong, collaborative relationship with Dr. Laura, including daily communication and touchpoints. They would be instrumental behind the scenes: coordinating the moving pieces to help keep projects moving, ensuring Laura meets deadlines and re-prioritizes as needed. This person would care about the brand and purpose and would look for ways that it can continually grow and thrive.

This role will offer variety and exposure to different global experts and is a chance to learn and grow oneself while supporting an important platform for a better world.

Key Responsibilities

  • General Administrative Support: Monitor Dr. Laura’s inbox and calendar to identify and prioritize key tasks for timely completion; leverage CRM tools to support business development activities; liaise with internal and external stakeholders; manage scheduling; accounting administration (invoice creation and follow up).
  • Coordination of Keynote and Speaking Engagements: Research and apply for speaking opportunities, draft and edit proposals, oversee booking logistics, schedule travel, and conduct thorough post-event follow-ups to gather feedback.
  • Podcast, Blog, and Media Coordination: Facilitate seamless guest communications, evaluate and vet guest and media requests, schedule meetings and podcast recordings, oversee blog scheduling, and effectively manage deadlines and deliverables.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree: A diploma or degree in business administration, communications, psychology, or a related field is preferred but not required if commensurate experience.
  • Professional Experience: experience in an administrative assistant role is an asset, preferably supporting fast-paced entrepreneurs or professional speakers/influencers.
  • Office Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with Canva, CRM systems, and project management tools.
