Job Purpose:

The Customer Service Representative accepts and directs incoming calls, takes detailed messages, and provides basic information to callers. The incumbent will have front-line contact with the public and must represent the body shop in a professional and friendly manner at all times.

Job Duties:

• Communicate with callers in a professional, friendly and efficient manner, striving to minimize the time they are put on hold
• Take detailed messages, including the caller's first and last name, company name if applicable, the time, and the message the caller wishes to leave
• Communicate messages to the appropriate parties in a timely manner
• Provide basic information to callers who have general inquiries
• Prepare and update customer files
• Obtain customer's written approval on all repair orders at the time of the write-up or when closing additional add-on sales
• Ensure personal protective equipment is worn at all times when entering the shop
• Perform clerical and administrative and other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to effectively manage time, meet deadlines, and complete all assigned tasks
• Proven organizational skills
• Excellent customer service skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work in a team and independently
• Must speak clearly on the telephone and convey an image of professionalism
• Must be able to convey messages to employees clearly and quickly
