Pro Serv Tech Support Specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Pro Serv Tech Support Specialist based in Canada.

As a Pro Serv Tech Support Specialist, you will help customers launch, maintain, and troubleshoot their websites and essential online services.
You’ll work hands-on with WordPress, SSL certificates, DNS, email, domains, and related web technologies.
The role combines technical problem-solving with customer support, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and online experiences remain seamless.
You’ll handle a varied range of requests, from website launches and configuration changes to diagnosing critical errors and plugin or theme issues.
Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, clear communication, and a practical understanding of web infrastructure.
You’ll work as part of a collaborative, remote team where reliability, organization, and customer focus are highly valued.

• WordPress Website Launches: Support the setup, configuration, and successful launch of WordPress websites, ensuring sites are properly configured and ready for customers.
• Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve common website issues, including critical errors, builder and theme problems, plugin updates, and other basic website functionality concerns.
• SSL Management: Install and troubleshoot SSL certificates to help ensure websites remain secure and accessible.
• DNS & Domain Support: Process DNS change requests and assist with domain-related configuration issues.
• Email Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve common email-related technical issues, helping customers maintain reliable communication services.
• Customer Communication: Provide clear, professional, and timely written and verbal support while explaining technical issues and solutions in an accessible way.
• Technical Investigation: Use available web technologies and administrative tools to identify the root cause of issues and determine appropriate resolutions or escalation paths.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to resolve complex issues, share technical knowledge, and contribute to an organized, customer-focused support environment.
• Service Quality: Maintain accurate, detail-oriented work while managing multiple requests and priorities in a dynamic remote environment.

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required; a college or university degree with a technology focus is an advantage.
• Web Technologies: Practical experience with HTML and CSS and a solid understanding of how websites and web technologies operate.
• WordPress: Hands-on experience with WordPress and WordPress plugins, including basic troubleshooting and configuration.
• Web Infrastructure: Basic knowledge of cPanel, SSL certificates, domains, DNS, and email services.
• Technical Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, with a detail-oriented approach to diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly and professionally.
• Work Style: Organized, dedicated, dynamic, team-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple tasks in a remote environment.
• Preferred Technical Skills: Knowledge of PHP and phpMyAdmin, FTP, Linux command line, WPCLI, or Bash is an advantage.
• Additional Experience: 2–3 years of professional experience in a technology-focused role is considered a plus.
