Lead contract management initiatives with the Canadian Commercial Corporation in Ottawa, ON. This Senior Contract Manager role focuses on complex contracts, relationship management, and strategic negotiations. In this hybrid position, you will oversee the lifecycle of export contracts from initiation to closure, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions. You will engage with exporters and buyers to resolve issues, contribute to business development, and provide input on contract structuring based on your extensive experience. Your efforts will support Canadian businesses in forming successful international partnerships. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage complex contract lifecycle from award to closure
- Provide input on contract structuring to business development
- Lead negotiations and issue resolution with exporters and buyers
- Track project-specific financials and develop risk mitigation plans
- Conduct site visits to ensure compliance and delivery
- Post-secondary degree in commerce or business administration
- Minimum 5 years of contracting and financial management experience
- Knowledge of international law and contracting practices
- Fluency in English and Spanish essential
- Understanding of client relationship management
