Senior Dispatcher & Coordinator

Location: Burnaby, BC
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $55,000–$70,000 per year, based on experience

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Dispatcher & Coordinator to join our growing plumbing company. This role is responsible for coordinating technician schedules, communicating with customers, supporting daily operations, and helping keep service jobs running efficiently from start to finish.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of plumbing industry dispatch experience , strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Dispatch & Customer Coordination

• Schedule and dispatch technicians based on availability, location, and job requirements
• Prioritize emergency calls and adjust schedules as needed
• Match the right technician to each job based on skills and job type
• Communicate with technicians and customers throughout the day
• Serve as the main point of contact between customers and technicians
• Follow up on jobs to ensure completion and customer satisfaction
• Handle customer calls, requests, and issues promptly and professionally
• Coordinate job timelines and help keep daily operations running smoothly
• Review and clean up completed work orders

Administrative Duties

• Book permits and inspections through city websites
• Update technicians regarding inspection times and approvals
• Process BC One Calls
• Pull permits and maintain required documentation
• Enter backflow reports through municipal systems
• Maintain accurate records and documentation

Pre-Set Estimates

• Prepare and send pre-set estimates for common service and repair work, including:
• Camera inspections
• Drain repairs
• Hot water tank replacements
• Pressure reducing valve replacements

• Review job details to select the appropriate pre-set estimate
• Ensure pricing and scope are accurate
• Prepare and send estimates to customers in a timely manner

Requirements

• 2–4 years of dispatching experience in the plumbing industry preferred
• Strong knowledge of plumbing services is an asset
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through
• Ability to work independently while supporting a team
• Comfortable communicating with technicians, customers, municipalities, and other stakeholders
