Director of Canadian Tax for Sun Life

As Director of Canadian Tax, you will oversee tax financial reporting and analysis for Sun Life's Canadian insurance operations. Your expertise will drive process improvements, support audits, and provide critical tax projections and guidance. This position demands an analytical mindset and extensive experience in corporate tax reporting. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead accurate quarterly income tax provision calculations under IFRS
- Implement processes to enhance tax deliverables efficiency
- Support government audits and financial reporting audits
- Prepare tax projections for strategic forecasting
- Analyze consolidated effective tax rates for compliance
- Minimum 8 years of progressive tax experience
- CPA designation required; MTax or CPA Canada Tax Course preferred
- Strong knowledge of Canadian tax reporting regulations
- Proven experience in process improvements and automation
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, especially Excel
