International Relations Teaching Assistant

University of Ottawa

Teach international relations in person at the University of Ottawa, supporting discussion groups and student learning for POL2103.

This CUPE Teaching Assistant assignment supports Introduction to International Relations and Global Politics. The course examines global order, international relations, globalization, and contemporary global issues. Responsibilities include teaching assistance, discussion groups, marking papers and exams, and meeting students during office hours.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide teaching assistance for POL2103 course activities
Facilitate discussion groups on global politics
Mark student papers and examinations
Hold office hours to meet with students

Requirements:

Meet applicable CUPE collective agreement priority provisions
Meet deadlines established by the supervisor
Attend lectures when requested by the supervisor
Complete mandatory legislated University training
Work in English through in-person delivery

Support students in international relations and global politics through teaching assistance, assessment, discussions, and office hours.
