Overnight Pet Sitter Needed – Quispamsis, NB I’m looking for a reliable, caring dog lover to provide overnight care for my three small dogs November 10–15, with the possibility of another pet-sitting job March 1–7. Dogs are used to mature female caregivers. I’d prefer someone who works from home at least part-time, as our dogs enjoy having someone around during the day. That said, they can be left alone for up to 8 hours when necessary, so a traditional work schedule is not necessarily a deal-breaker. The dogs have access to a fenced yard through a dog door, so there’s no need for frequent walks. They’re fed twice a day and have a few easy-to-administer medications. They also enjoy enrichment toys when left alone and, most importantly, lots of couch cuddles! The sitter needs to be present during evenings and weekends. The stay:

• Overnight care is required at our home in Quispamsis.
• The sitter will have access to a private basement suite with heat and air conditioning.
• Dogs are fed twice daily.
• Simple medications need to be administered.
• Provide enrichment toys when leaving them alone.
• Daily poop-scooping is required.
• During the winter, the sitter must be willing to shovel a small area of snow so our short-legged dogs can safely get outside.
• The dogs are dachshunds and have special orthopedic needs. They must be picked up and handled in a specific way to protect their backs. I will provide clear instructions.

The ideal person is a mature female who is responsible, dependable, comfortable staying in someone else’s home, and genuinely loves dogs. Experience with dachshunds or dogs with orthopedic considerations would be a definite plus. References/background check a must. Compensation: $50 per day.
